Name That Tune

YES!!! (Hart, btw) Oh, thank goodness! Such a quintasential 80's tune, I was so hoping someone would get it!

Your turn, CDA!
Just call me Mr 80's. Another classic IMO:

Wonder what's cooking at the house tonight
Stew and beans
Tune that station, turn that dial
Have another dream
Ain't it stupid how some people stare
Not even how do you do
What's that mister - na na na
I'm just the same as you

80's. here's the first verse, which has a clue in it:

Wonder why it's getting cold at night
I must be getting old
Looks like I'm gonna have to wait a while
What the hell, I'm bored
What's that there on the railway line
Looks like my old brown shoe
It ain't mine mister, how's that for laughs
Not even how do you do

Cheat! :p :D

I still don't remember it even though you've named it.

I am surprised - I thought it was a well known song. Must be so just in my tiny little world.

Over to that there ball of anger

With just my heart and my mind
I can be driving,
Driving home,
And you asleep
On the seat.

I get out of my car,
Step into the night
And look up at the sky.
And there’s something bright,
Travelling fast.

That is Kate Bush, Hello Earth.
Kate Bush when she was GOOD.

Yus. :D

Hey - when has Kate Bush been bad? Mind you, I haven't heard her latest album, but it's got good reviews.

OK - your turn.

Ok. 80's again:

Ah we can dance if we want to, we can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don’t dance and if they don’t dance
Well they’re are no friends of mine

I say, we can go where we want to, a place where they will never find
And we can act like we come from out of this world
Leave the real one far behind,
And we can dance

Bush's new LP is shit. I have tried listening to it over and over. I like to give things a chance. But it's just awful.:)

OK, another blast from the past, pop-pickers...

One man on a lonely platform
One case sitting by his side
Two eyes staring cold and silent
Show fear as he turns to hide.

Another 'classic'...

Risin' up, back on the street
Did my time, took my chances
Went the distance, now I'm back on my feet
Just a man and his will to survive

So many times, it happens too fast
You change your passion for glory
Don't lose your grip on the dreams of the past
You must fight just to keep them alive
