Snowballs and Sinners traces the intense misfortune Aaron suffers as he braves a life filled with alarming predicaments. Although conflicts with his mother, his school principal, and the police are distressing enough, death threats from the Midnight Sinners, the school’s resident street gang, give rise to Aaron’s foremost fears. Dawn, Aaron’s only friend in this struggle, is a member of the school’s substance abuse awareness club, Operation Snowball. She alone supports Aaron in his battle to free himself from a hopeless situation. Written in a direct, fast-paced style with abundant dialogue, Snowballs and Sinners provides high-interest appeal. The numerous plot twists throughout the novel lead to a shocking climax.
