Has anyone read the books in the new series? They are actually very good! That is, if you're a fan of NoES. Which I am. :D

There are three books, I have read the first two and just got the third in the mail. I can't wait to start it!
 
Yes, Christa Faust has been the best so far for me. She writes beautifully and it would seem like her novel could really be turned into a movie.

I've only read, I think, a couple of her collaborations with Poppy Z. Brite.
