"Oh where is my hairbrush..."

The only Veggie Tales song I ever heard, and I sing this regularly when it is required. :D

LOL-at my house its a daily occurance:rolleyes: MY hairbrush is communal property, as is my razor, my shampoo, my books...you get the drift! Even my dh, who originally strongly disliked Veggie Tales, sings this song whenever I wonder where my brush is..

This is my boyfriend's kareoke song... hilarious!

"I don't know, I don't know
I don't know where I'm gonna go
When the volcano blows.."

I think of Jimmy every labor day too..

"Headin out for San Fransico
For the Labor Day weekend show
I got my hushpuppies on
I guess I never was meant
For glitter Rock and roll.."

Seems like I was not the only person to come out of the closet. :D

Now young Mr. Moon flew away in the night
With his best friend Magnus right by his side
They soared through the Milky Way counting the stars
Once around Venus, twice around Mars

Then they spied an island rise out of the sea
They fell back to Earth just as free as you please
The children all gathered the church bells did ring
Suddenly everyone started to sing

Hey ABC, I have an idea. Maybe between you, me and Kook's boyfriend we can get Kookamoor to come out of the closet. :)

Okie dokie karioke! How about it Kook? Sing along with us:

Jimmy Buffett - Son Of A Son Of A Sailor Lyrics
As the son of a son of a sailor
I went out on the sea for adventure
Expanding the view of the captain and crew
Like a man just released from indenture

As a dreamer of dreams and a travelin' man
I have chalked up many a mile
Read dozens of books about heroes and crooks
And I learned much from both of their styles

Chorus:
Son of a son, son of a son
Son of a son of a sailor
Son of a gun, load the last ton
One step ahead of the jailer

Now away in the near future
Southeast of disorder
You can shake the hand of the mango man
As he greats you at the border

And the lady she hails from Trinidad
Island of the spices
Salt for your meat, and cinnamon sweet
And the rum is for all your good vices

Haul the sheet in as we ride on the wind
That our forefathers harnessed before us
Hear the bells ring as the tight rigging sings
It's a son of a gun of a chorus

Where it all ends I can't fathom my friends
If I knew I might toss out my anchor
So I cruise along always searchin' for songs
Not a lawyer a thief or a banker

But a son of a son, son of a son
Son of a son of a sailor
Son of a gun, load the last ton
One step ahead of the jailer

I'm just a son of a son, son of a son
Son of a son of a sailor
The sea's in my veins, my tradition remains
I'm just glad I don't live in a trailer

ABC toddles off to find her Jimmy Buffett tape...

George Winston- Linus & Lucy - The Music of Vince Guaraldi

My dd paid extra to get that song as her cell phone ringer! It is a great song.

I just listened to Sweet Afton by Nickel Creek..

Are you a fan, Abecedarian? I've always loved that particular album. :)

My dh has a Caedmon's Call cd in his truck and we were listening to it the other day. Can't remember which one though. My oldest two dds introduced us to CC as well as a number of other Christian bands we might not have found otherwise. I'm also glad they found Third Day for us too:cool:

the distillers - I Am a Revenant

its the only distillers song i listen to, but ironically its #1 [play count: 195] out of 2850+ songs on my ipod
