River god - the warlock - the Quest

One of the best selling autor of historical fiction,Wilbur know how to write good action books. Not exeactly very refined,is book are nontheless very untertaining.
Taita, the eunuch magician/mac Guiver main caractere, follow the pharaon familly for 3 centuries.Taita is strange hero, specialy knowing Wilbur usual macho type main caractere, this time it is an artiste who lose is manhood a the start of the first book.Inventor of the toilet with running water as well as best-of-the-market war chariot,he give the stories a more interesting point of view then the usual wilbur type.

I liked the two first, the third -the quest-should be avoided by the fan of the serie.I think Wilbur got a bit lost on this one.Maybe is new very young wife got the best of him!The book is just not good.Spoiler -he actualy plant a new penis in Taita with some magic seeds(maybe a metaphore for the viagra?)

So any fan of old Wilbur around?

I have read River God and I didn't know it was a trilogy! Great! now I have to add 2 more books to my pile! lol Poor Taita, some reviewers say that it's not as good because how can it be possible for a eunuch to have such authority , but I think he manipulated very well and even on the risk of getting caught , went forward anyways with his ideas. They found his letters I think, if I can remember my search. Thanks for the info!:)

I will be reading the third, I can't cope when their is another book out there not knowing the end!
:)

This is called the" 7th scroll" and it's more of an archeological/action book. Not very good .
You should like Warlock:)

7th scroll is about Taitas scrolls or no? It seems it's just a small part of another story.

ok, I just searched it. I was looking for info on how accurate River God was and they say they found Taitas writings/ scrolls and thats how the story came to be.
