Welcome Stewart, O Senior Moderator

Yes, I tidied up the author discussion forums a little. Moved some reviews into the fiction forum, or the horror forum, or the fantasy forum, or the general discussion forum, or the music forum, etc. I corrected authors' names, spelling errors, and merged a few where a merge felt logical.

There's the chance that some of the threads were posted before other forums were created. One very early one, for example, was an A-Z author game, which felt beter in a general area.

As for the fiction forum, not done much there. I added the author to some titles where only the book title was used. Other than that, no.

Well you can't please everyone. Maybe now all the members that took off when Wabbit became mod will resurface.

Bye, Wabbit! And thanks for suggesting that everyone who has congratulated Stewart on his appointment is not a good person.

Mostly the good people are not vocal.

well, i'm sorry to see you go! i only hope he isn't a dictator when it comes to starting new posts on OLD subjects. i hate it when he posts to a new post that there was already a post on the subject and then gives a link to a post two years old and six pages long. who wants to resurface something so old, with members likely gone, and have to wade through all those posts. why can't we just start something new with new members with new ideas and thoughts on the matter. that is my biggest complaint.

hey, i sent balloons! ;)

btw, i like the sarcasm for the most part. it's your sarcastic wit that i find so amusing about you, except when directed at me of course! ;)

I've kept out of this so far, but I will say this now. I always knew that Stewart's appointment wouldn't be popular with everyone, but I do believe that he will do a good job and that he will be an asset to the site as we try to expand its audience and popularity and take it forward in its evolution.

Thanks for the feedback, Wabbit. I wasn't going to comment at all, just rise above it, but I'll make this brief. Just because my personality clashes with a select few has absolutely nothing to do with my appointment as a moderator. I am seeking to improve this forum as a moderator should and I am doing it as well as I can by making suggestions, encouraging discussions, and not talking about penguins. My commitment is to this forum, not to the people. They are free to come and go as they please.

abc passes Darren a raincoat to ward off the tar and feathers..having already seen to herself and the other 'bad' members:(

And to be honest I can't think of anyone on this forum that doesn't rub a few other members the wrong way. There will always be personality conflicts. Well except for abcedarian, everyone likes her, I think.

Hey everyone, still quite new here but since this is a big thread and seems important I guess I would like to pop my head in and say congratulations to Stewart in becoming a mod! :)
I've honestly read through all five pages and geezer, I still can't get to finishing my second review of my book :( Even though I don't know him much I think Stewart would make a great mod, and though not everybody likes it I really do appreciate his personality and the way he relates his reading experience to the rest of us :)
Anyhow I'm kinda stuck revising chapter three of my book and trying to find the smallest things for distractions isn't helping with my progress!

Oh yeah, and I wanting to add something else as well. People leaving just because Stewart became a moderator is, in the nicest word I can think of right now, juvenille. But then again, that's just my two cents, right?

In the words of the great Lyle Lovett:

I don't go for fancy cars,
On no oh no,
Diamond rings or movie stars,
I go for penguins,
Oh Lord I go for penguins.

Throw your money out the door,
Sit around and watch it snow,
Let it snow...let it snow.
I go for penguins,
Oh Lord I go for penguins.

Cause penguins are so sensitive,
penguins are so sensitive,
penguins are so sensitive..
To my needs.

Belated congrats, Stewart - I haven't been around here for a while. I'm sure you'll do a great job.

Bestiality is sick.

HaHaHa. It's actually written about a college girlfriend he had that was a collector of all things penguin, sheets, stuffed animals, toothbrush holders..... you get the idea.

Okay back to your regularly scheduled thread.
