    The Official Book Censorship Thread

We can have Okonkwo chop off a guy's head(Things Fall Apart),but not a book that has curse words in it. I smell hypocrisy.

    So, I got a PS3 for Christmas

Me and Lincoln(We're twins irl) also had to take back God of War 3(Kept on messing up, great game though) back two times, and exchange it for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. Personally, it is my favorite game of all time. We've already decided to get Infamous for our Birthday.

Teachers who inspired your love of reading

None, because I did not like any of their tastes. I didn't get really addicted to reading until I read The Sleeping Doll by Jeffery Deaver.

A critique of Oprah's book club

You give me something like Poe, or Shakespeare, I will not read it. You're right about the slow plot lines. Their characters are also horrible.

A critique of Oprah's book club

I personally think books like these are not going to get kids to read. I'm 16 and I just hate the classics, but I like reading books that adults like also(Micheal Connelly, Dean Koontz etc.). I'm a big fan of Connelly, but I would not jump out and read a book just because he liked it.

    Michael Connelly: City of Bones

The first one you said is The Black Echo, the second I'm not so sure.

    Michael Connelly: City of Bones

That is why he is my all time favorite character. I'm currently waiting for Lost Light, and I'm getting very impatient. Bosch is like a freaking drug.

    Michael Connelly: City of Bones

Plot: Bosch and his well-dressed partner, Jerry Edgar, are working to identify a child's skeleton, buried for 20 years in the forest off Hollywood's Wonderland Drive, and to bring the killer to belated justice. For Bosch this is more than just another homicide, as the mystery child, beaten and...

What is your all time favourite Crime, Mystery or Thriller?

Dearly Devoted Dexter by Jeff Lindsay A serial killer who kills other serial killers, and works as a forensic officer, and has a family. Plus to add to that there is a killer on the loose that does surgery on his victims. Dexter is a great character(Until the third book and the latest book) ...

    Brian Keene

I've really been meaning to get my hands on The Rising, but my library doesn't have it. I'm going to go get it soon once I have some money. So I hope he is good.

What do you think of the prices of new books?

Too freaking much. I saw a copy of Dexter is Delicious on opening day. This book series is very underground, and the the hardcover was 25-28$, that is just way too much for a underground series. Softback are perfectly priced though. The less the book cost, the more chance people will buy it.

How do you decide your next book?

^ My thing to,and the lists Goodreads compiles.

    Jeff Lindsay: Dexter is Delicious

I really hate to say this, but I give up. I want my Dexter Morgan from the first two NOT the others. Lindsay is putting the nails in the coffin known as Dexter Morgan. To add to the sadness, because Dex was so bad,he was kicked off number one place in my top 10 :(.

    Elie Wiesel: Night

It's a good book to learn about how someone went through every day life there. A boring book though, and I wouldn't read it in my free time.
  15. The Butcher

    Stephen King: The Waste Lands

I'm going to read this soon, but due to your reviews of the other two,I think I'll start with this one.
