Did anyone find Twilight to be horror?

Not often that I have seen such a reaction to a book. Sounds like it's worth browsing the next time I come across it in a bookstore, to see what it is like and makes it different.

The fact that it got made into a film still haunts my dreams! Does that mean it is a horror? :p

Twilight is one of the funniest books I've ever read. The last book has a single moment of horror within it I suppose. If you're a victim of spousal abuse it could be read as a taut psychological horror. But mostly it's funny. Especially if you imagine the music from the film in your head as you read. That one with the woman going 'aaahaaahaaaaaaaaah' and not much else. I think it's supposed to symbolise the echoing void of Bella's brain.

Welcome back, stranger.

Well guys get ready to see more vampire romances. Since the sells are very high, even crappier authors will makes shit-loads of money from writing close to the same thing. Everyone at my school only reads vampire romances. I mostly read mystery and horror and some sci-fi(no romance though). Imagine how I feel.

I read some of it,I'm 16 by the way. It was not scary, just extremely horrible.

I find the book's status as a bestseller very disturbing.

I wouldn't consider it a horror series, just a bad romance series.

A BIG DITTO from me.

I read the first two books in this series and I wish I could get those hours spent reading them back. These books are not horror they should be considered romance.

they should be considered romance.

Yes. It's terribly romantic when a chap sneaks into my house at night to watch me sleep, forbids me from seeing my friends, threatens to kill me and then disappears off for months on end with no contact. It sets off butterflies in my tummy...that he then rips open with his teeth because he's the most romantic man in the world.

They're undead and they want to eat you and yet the zombie romance novel never really caught on, which is a shame really because when you have a zombie boyfriend you know he likes you for your brains.

Good one..
Twilight shouldn't be considered classical romance. How about teen romance in a sick, horrific, fanatic way.

I don't see horror in the book just romance and fighting for love.. obviously it must not be that great for me if the books nore the movie has me excited, but I perfer Twilight over True Blood altho True Blood live's up to it's roots of Vampires its just way to much Drama for my taste. I perfer Witch's over Vampire's than I perfer Vampire's over Wolf's lol.. I like to many thing's lol

I really, really disliked most of the first book, so I never bothered with the rest. The end of the first book was decent, about 50 pgs from the end, but the pain the other large portions of the book caused was just not worth it.
