oops should have posted in website feed back - sorry pedants
just reading the paper, boris has been elevated by the tories to shadow arts minister. he has proposed a six point plan, a "poetry olympiad", new radio frequencies to allow greater air time for the rolling stones in oxfordshire and my favourite...outlawing american spell checkers. he also said...
I've been browsing the library, this could be such a great resource.
why is this not being used more? there's only a hand full of reviews surely we can do better than that. Come on chaps and chappesses no need to be shy, it's just an opinion, lets get some more reviews on there.

a non fiction discussion broke out the other day regarding the history of British Imperialism. it occured to me afterwards that anybody who was interested in a witty, fictional account would enjoy Frasier's Flashman series.
i've read a number of them and always save one for a holiday treat...

so lets see mine would be something like this(in no particular order):
Astonishing the gods - Ben...
How on earth could Brautigan have been missed. Often credited as one of the most influential writers of the beat generation, he faded into relative obscurity.
so how could he have been missed, all too easily i'm afraid, a lot of his books are hard to come by in the uk, Vintage published...
martin asked me about iain banks crow road so i thought it might be worth starting a new thread here.
Crow road was the first Iain banks book i read and it still one of my favourites (i've not read any of his sci fi stuff) of the ones i've read this is what i thought:
Wasp factory - great...
The girl recommended that i read this title, and i have to say it's a gem. For anybody that enjoys fantastical tales Gullivers travels, Baron Munch.. this could be just the book you're looking for. It's also fantastically illustrated to boot.
The book follows bluebear from his discovery as a...
hmm joined because i miss discussing books with other reading types. i'm a recently qualified architect working in a small practice in manchester, uk.
for my sins i used to work for a book store (name withheld due to notoriety) where i used to help buy stock and organise events for paperback...
