I probably read about 75 books per year, but they range in size from lengthy tomes to quick easy reads. I also try to set quotas, but then I also get caught up in the "read for the numbers" mentality, and I have to remind myself that reading shouldn't be a chore or something that I "have" to do...

I love libraries. Even though I buy lots of my books, I almost exclusively buy them used for super cheap, so the library is a great place to check out new authors or books. Also, I love the book sales. Only 25 cents for a book, and they usually have a great selection.

I always have three books going at one time: a "classic", a non-fiction of some sort, and then another one that is just "for fun". not that I don't enjoy the others; the "for fun" is just a quick, easy read, such as something by Tom Clancy or John Grisham.

two other great novels by Heinlein are Time Enough for Love and Citizen of the Galaxy. i read Citizen of the Galaxy basically in one sitting, it is a great book for readers new to Heinlein or even sci-fi in general.
