These two books by Bill Napier seem very similar, are they in fact the same book with different titles? Or is one a sequel? I enjoyed his 'The Lure' and this seems to be similar to DaVinci Code, so I though I'd give it a try. But which one to read...????
Which book do you love more, Raymond Fiest's Magician or Terry Brooks Sword of Shannara? (or perhaps the question should be which do you hate least?)
I personally prefer Sword..I never finished reading Magician but I want to re-read it one day.

I always thought is was ironic that the author's name was Ende...maybe that's just me over-analysing. I never read the book but did quite like the film (and the song).
I would reccommend two books, both made into films with varying success:
The Ammityville Horror - Jay Anson
The Entity - Frank DeFelitta
both books are kind of creeping, especially The Entity.
I just finished reading the fist two Eden books, they're fantastic. The last book a bit hard to get hold of though. I think they would make great movies, they are quite visual.
I read the Stainless Steel Rat books when I was a teen and loved them too, I think A stainless Steel Rat is Born...
Saw it last night and it was awesome. Even Tom cruise was not too bad. The Tripods were mindblowing! That foghorn thing they have makes the teeth rattle.
Funny this should come up becuse just yesterday I missed my station. I Looked up out of my book to see it slowly sliding past, so I shurgged and finished the chaper.
Just finished reading The Scar by China Meivile, which I didn't enjoy as much as Perdido Street Station, and also a Max Barry's Jennifer Government, in which provides a scary look at the near future where corporations declare actual war on each other.
Hey I'm from Melbourne too! Also check out the original film from the 50's, there's some great shots of old Melbourne town.
PS the book is great too.
