I agree with most of those, but I wouldn't recommend Dostoyevsky or any other Russian writer to someone who might think 'classic' literature boring. I really enjoy his work but it could be kind of like recommending the London marathon to someone who wasn't overly keen on exercise! I think he's...
Yes, you do tend to see the same ones in the shops always, and never the ones your looking for!
Yaaaaaaawn, I'm sleepy. Gotta go ya'll. See you next time!
In paperback it's a lurid bright orange colour so you can't miss it! Well, It is in the UK anyway. I'm not entirely sure about in the US.
I think i'll hang around on this thread for a while. It seems quite active. :D
I suppose it can be like that. I couldn't read two of his books in a row. Most of what I read is really different to Laymon though. The last 4 books I read were,
Crime and Punishment,
Jane Eyre,
Pride and Predjudice
and Sense and Sensibility.
I just love Laymon cause you know what your...

I think it takes me on average about 8 hours reading time. That doesn't mean I sit down for 8 hours and read though. I usually fit in about 8 hours in 3 or 4 days I think.
I don't try and rush through a book though. If it's a real joy to read I can go over some paragraphs and pages many...
I generally think that books are better than films that they influence. Usually because there is more chance to develop characters and plot and what have you.
Is there any film that you really wish you could read the book of?
I watched 'Good Will Hunting' recently and I really wished that...
I see people shamelessly looking in the Erotica section of Borders without a care in the world! It shares a corner with the horror books too and when I look in the horror section I always get uncomfortable in case people think i'm trying to look at 'Ezmarelda's Punishment' or 'Mr Whip's school...
What genre do you secretly enjoy reading but wouldn't admit to in polite company?
My secret is a penchant for trashy horror novels, I've read all Richard Laymon's novels (some of them twice) and some novels by Bentley Little. They don't come worse than that!
I suppose it's the literary...
Anyone over the age of 21 starting a course of study is regarded as a mature student. I think it's pretty much a nationwide term. It's used in most of the University prospectus' that I've looked at.
