Why are the "Recently Reading" and "About to Read" threads closed down? Did they go over the post limit?

I don't know, but a strong feeling of de ja vu has swept over me in reading this thread. I could've swore that there was another just like it a few months back. Yeah, members voted them closed and it was done.:( It's a shame when people keep posting and viewing threads about books.

Rather than start a new thread, I'll just post here.

Why are the two locked threads in the General Forum still stickies?

Anamnesis - Steffee is correct. There was a vote on it, and the majority voted not to have these threads.

Kristocat already asked this last year. This is what Ice posted at the time:

You are right in saying that closed stickies will always remain at the top. Removing the sticky is one option that is being considered, however we are currently moving some of the posts from IJFR into the relevant discussion threads. It is easier at the moment to leave it at the top so we can access it quickly rather than having to search for it, but if it is a problem then we can probably remove them.

Actually Halo, I'd add my 2 cents - since they are locked (wail!) I suggest that you remove the stickies... we're not going to read the 2 threads anymore, since nothing's been added, and it's taking up to rows every page.

There's always search if anyone's interested.

Yes, I'm lazy at navigating the pages. :)
