Does a boring marketing book that I have just bought for my job count?! I've just been lent a trilogy by an author called Posie Grahame Evans (I think - the books are at home) I remember that one of the titles is The Beloved.

Anyone read these? Are they going to be worth reading? I've not read much historical romance so are they a good place to start? My friend has raved about them.

Blindness by José Saramago
The Double by José Saramago
A Viagem do Elefante by José Saramago (it's his new book so I don't know how the title is going to be translated but it could be The Elephant's Journey)
