*Request* Forest/Rain Forest Adventure

I'm looking for an adventure type book that deals with the Amazon or some other jungle area as such. Basicly an adventure jungle book. Something similar to "The Lost World", but without the dinosaurs. Nothing with aliens or monsters or anything. I can't think of anything!

Maybe having to do with a lost tribe or an un-contacted tribe? Does anyone have anything they can think of?

Try The Decapitated Chicken and Other Stories by Horacio Quiroga. Not all of the stories take place in a forest or jungle setting, but "Anaconda" will definately suit your interest.

Peter Benchley wrote a book a few years back called "Amazon" that sounded interesting.

It isn't exactly adventure, but you may want to try The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver.
