Mxx

It's a good thing I only eat tripe :D and don't read it! My recent purchases/gifts are:

1) The Plague
2) The Outsider
3) Indaba My Children
4) The Time Maschine

I already finished The Outsider and is almost done with The Time Maschine. I'll read Indaba, My Children when I have lots of time!!

The Rape of Nanking by Iris Chang

I also ordered Kickboxing Geishas: How Modern Japanese Women Are Changing Their Nation from Barnes & Noble's website, but it won't be arriving until Monday.

Stitch N' Bitch Crochet: The Happy Hooker-Debbie Stoller

The Complete Idiot's Guide to Knitting Projects Illustrated-Barbara Morgenroth

Loom Knitting Primer- Isela Phelps

As I was settling in to read The Happy Hooker last night, while the family watched Big Fish, my crafty 17 yr old dd came out of my room carrying two balls of yarn(mine) and a handful of crochet hooks(also mine), whisked the book out of my hand, and proceeded to sit down and try a new pattern that caught her eye:rolleyes: Maybe if I'm nice to her she'll return the book and stuff and show me how to make nice things too!

Today I bought:

Survival Of The Fittest by Jonathan Kellerman,
The Scent of Shadows by Vicki Pettersson,
And Titan by Ben Bova. :D

:eek:Wow, you never cease to amaze abec.;)

That's nuthin toots, I've heard of a ladies' auxilary group in a little church in Hooker, Oklahoma. They were sitting around trying to think of a name for their little group and someone innocently tossed out the name, "Happy Hookers"..once the wiser ladies wiped the tears from their eyes and were calm again, they gleefully explained why that was just not a bright idea at all:D

Went wild with the credit card, I may well be camping out for the next week after the wife finds the purchases on her automatic e-mail notification.:D :p ;)

God and the State; Mikhail Bakunin

Chomsky on Anarchism; Noam Chomsky

The Road to Madness; H.P. Lovecraft
