Night at the Museum 2 (IMAX.... yeeeahhh!):star4:: I liked it very much and the best part was that I watched it at the Smithsonian.

*Had a scary movie night! whhoooo!*

The Others:star4:: it was kind of predictable in the begining, but there were things that kept you guessing. The end I did not expect at all!

Dead Silence:star3:: This was one of those scary movies where the characters do all the things that you're telling them not to and they get killed for it. That made me angry, the the clown-ventrilequist dummy combo freaked me out. Two of the scary movie staples that scare me the most.

Misery:star4:: Theres something about Steven King writing about writers... hmm. This movie was seriously awesome and every other minute I was thinking... "She is one crazy bitch!" o_O

The Exorcist:star5:: Ok, what is there not to love about crab walking down stairs and projectile vomiting? I mean.... really.

Loved the highlighted ones.Loved that crazy bitch most of all.:D
I still haven't seen Night at the Museum 2,looking forward to it though.

3...Extremes:star3:
Liked the first story the best (Dumpling). By the Takashi Miike one, Box, I had finished my bottle of champagne. I'll have to rewatch it. When it was over, I was just thinking, "What was that about?"

Masters of Horror: Imprint
:star3:.5
Another Miike one. Pretty colors. Fairly disturbing, but not the most terrifying thing in the world.

The Changeling :star4:.5
Just wonderful. Love Angelina Jolie. Eastwood's directing was amazing.

Wild Hogs :star5: - a great comedy with great actors.

This Is England :star3:.5 - it gave me a whole new perspective on the skinhead movement and what is was about in the begining...

The Pink Panther 2 :star5: - I just love the pink panther movies and I don't think they could have picked a better actor to play Inspector Jacques Clouseau after Peter Sellers than Steve Martin. I also love Jean Reno, he's perfect.

Took my oldest to see Transformers II. The fight scenes were great, just too darn long of a movie. Tonight, I'm going to see Ice Age 3 tonight with my second oldest. :D He loved the first two, we'll see if this one is good.

Netflix - Watch Instantly
Tokyo Gore Police :star1:
 Whatever that was about.
Wow, one star? But it sounds so good and it has the psychotic girl from Audition in it:

In the near future, a beautiful police officer in a schoolgirl's outfit (Eihi Shiina, AUDITION) is put in charge of eradicating humanity latest menace: mutants. The carnage rarely stops, though it gets progressively more inventive--and stomach-churning--in this gruesome sci-fi phantasmagoria.

Maybe I was a little harsh. I remember watching the trailer a year & half ago and I thought it looked awesome and over the top.
It was fun, I'll admit. Watched it with friends and we had a good laugh.
Let me re-rate: :star2:.5

Was the Audition chick the main character? I watched two Miike films earlier this month and that is the next Miike I want to watch.

Ya she is the main character in the one you saw. Audition is a really cool horror movie, there are parts of it where you'll think you're watching a David Lynch film.

Which Miike movies have you seen? I've only watched Audition but I've been wanting to see Gozu and Happiness of the Katakuris.

Cool, I do like David Lynch. I've been curious about Audition since I heard Rob Zombie say that it freaked him out on that Bravo scary movie countdown special awhile back.

Miike that I've seen:

Fires On the Plain - Kon Ichikawa

It was a great movie with a different point of view of the japanese army. The Japaneses are portrayed like real human beings with emotions whereas they tend to be depicted as ruthless and inhuman killers. It also did good at showing the atrocity of war in general and more specifically in tropical rainforest.

:) Thanks for the recommendation! I'll definitely check it out.

Harry Potter VI - saw it Thurs. morning. :star4:
When did Harry start liking Ginny? Came out of nowhere. What was the deal with her tying his shoe? wtf? And I loved the cave seen where Gandalf gets rid of all of the Gollums.

Netflix, Instant Watch:
Hancock :star3:.5
It's nice to see Michael Bluth & Rita back together. :p It was a pretty good movie. There are some fun moments that made me laugh. It seemed too short and the story didn't seem well developed.

A Beautiful Mind:star5: It was really great and unexpected. It also pulled me in because we learned about this guy and the theory he comes up with in our Microeconomics class.

But this has gotten excellent reviews elsewhere. Maybe it's a love it or hate it type.
I re-rated it! I gave it a 2.5/5. :p
I dunno... I mean, I don't know what I was expecting either. It was so over the top - as was intended of course... perhaps that specific genre isn't for me.
