What do you pay for gas?

Saw on the news last night that Chicago has the highest gas prices in the nation.
Within the city limits of Chicago they are paying about $4.45

I live about 25 miles out and I'm still at $4.05 or so.

$3.67 my last fillup (Thursday). I'll have to fill up again tomorrow. Currently it costs me about $85 a week just to travel to and from work. And I get 28-31 MPG.

A little background here people-I live across the street in my small town from the co-op. They put in this huge sign where you can read the price miles it's away, it's that big. Every time I look, I swear it changes. Went out there a few hours ago with my boys and saw that the price went from $3.63 to $3.72.:eek:Fortunately, the boys fanned me and I came around pretty quick. Ugh.;)

It was $3.78 when I was in town earlier this afternoon. We live two miles from town. My neighbor has started riding a bike to her job at the grocery store. The assistant manager at the same store has done that for years, and he just lives in town...

We pay about $1.50AUD per LITRE here at the moment. I'm thinking about starting to ride a donkey or kangaroo to work from now on.

I just pay what it costs to fill up.
Unfortunately, so do I. With a 96 mile round trip commute daily, I have to fill up twice a week. I really wish I'd asked for my company to pay for my fuel instead of my tolls when I was negotiating my contract.

[-]If you're self-employed, can't you deduct your mileage?[/-] Scratch that.

I figured that if gas hits $5, it will cost me an extra $15/week. I guess that's less books and DVDs I will be purchasing. And no more soft, quilted, two-ply for ol' sparky.

I pay $1.55 CAN for a litre which works out to about $5.94 US a gallon to fill up my boat and it costs about $100 an hour to run.
