I'm suprised no one has mentioned Sufjan Stevens, the Age of Adz is really an excellent album. When I first listened to it, it was a little hard to digest, but over multiple listenings it has quickly become a favorite. I found it to be the most creative/challenging album I got over the past year.

& the best of 2010 are

..and the bet albums for 2010 (for me) are:

1- ROCK DUST LIGHT STAR - Jamiroquai
2- SCRATCH MY BACK - Peter Gabriel
3- BROTHERS - Black Keys
4- MOJO - Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers
5- MIXED RACE - Tricky

and the other handful of albums (in no particular order) that deserve a nod & slots 6-10+:

INTRIGUER - Crowded House,
SOLDIER OF LOVE - Sade,
WOMEN AND COUNTRY - Jakob Dylan,
FOUNDLING - David Gray.
100 MILES FROM MEMPHIS - Sheryl Crowe
HIGHWAY RIDER - Brad MEhldau

The only two albums I bought in 2010:

Mumford & Sons - Sigh no More (folk/rock, I guess)
Christopher Tin - Calling all Dawns (new classical. Wonderful!)

For 2011 we have to wait what comes out. Since I find these times a bit of a lull for new music, I keep my eyes peeled for the few gems that do pop up!

Regards,

Marcel
