Google must be the biggest advertising company in the world for the shear number of ads that are displayed.
Do they actually work? I have used Google ads and they do generate traffic and sales as well.
Personally I have never bought anything from a site which I visited via a Google ad...
I'm a BIG fan of Stargate SG1 and Atlantis. there are quite a few novels out now however I have not seen any in the bookshops in Australia. Does anyone know where I might be able to get them Down Under?
Plus has anyone read them? How do you rate them?
I find myself coming back to this forum occasionally. I'll have a flurry of posts followed by an absence of 2-3 months sometimes longer, 6+ months. I guess this is reflected by my stats

Very sad news. Jim Baen created the publishing house Baen Books and discovered such scifi writers as David Drake, Eric Flint, David Weber and Elizabeth Moon.
Baen Books has published such authors as Anne McCaffrey, Piers Anthony, SM Stirling, Larry Niven ........................... and so...
For me it's coffee, instant, expresso, long black, flat white, long macchiatto, filter. You name the type and I'll drink it.
On occassion, 2-3 times a month, I'll have a english breakfast tea, BUT NEVER for breakfast, got to have my caffiene fix :)
Just read the first in the Harpers Series. The Parched Sea by Troy Denning.
The Harpers are an altruistic bunch that oppose all the nasty people, beings, things in the world. The parchjed sea is the first novel in the 16 book (so far) series. The novels are all stand alone and so can be read...

Hi - Carlos' wife here. I'm trying to remember the name of a book I read a few years ago. I'm pretty sure it's a one-word title, but that's about as far as my memory goes. The plot basically threaded together a few conspiracy theories, beginning with Marilyn Monroe faking her death and going...
Just read the first 2 books in the Dark Elf Trilogy by RA Salvatore
Salvatore home page here
This story is set in the Forgotten Realms Universe, specifically Underdark, which is based on TSR games
I enjoyed the first book Homeland a lot, simple but quite refreshing to have a fantasy...
Built the sandpit today, 2.4 x 2.4 m, shifhted 4 cubic metres of white sand (wet). Put and row of pavers around the pit and cemented in. All by hand.
This is in-between changing nappies and the like!
Can't wait to go back to work for a rest
Jimmy The Hand by Raymond E Feist and S M Stirling.
Been reading it for a few days, and it's trotting along nicely. They are just about to get to the village (not a spoiler as it's on the back cover).
I've read all the riftwar series plus the lengends, of which this is the third. I really...
Finished my last contract and got stuck into the back garden while waiting for my second child and second son.
Ewan arrived on Monday 5th April 9am, 4.05kg with all the riht bits and pieces, and came home with my wife on Saturday. A couple of minor complications after the birth but nothing...
Just read a review of New Spring by R.Jordan.
Looks like Robert has still lost his way.
I reckon he should take a break from the WOT, 1-2 years beacause he has gone stale!.
crows nest
Read the other thread on this, but I thought I'd start a fresh one.
My idea is to have a reviews forum.
People post their reviews in the format of the library, which is explained by a stickie.
eg
Book: Author: Format: Pages: Publisher
Rating: As per library out of 5
Genre: eg scifi...
Who uses book catalog software?
Which one?
How do you rate it?
How much did / does it cost?
I ask because I have been looking for some software. I've got books all over the place, I have even bought books twice, plus I can't remember all my 'To Buy' books.
Even if you don't have...
Just finished this 30 minutes ago.
General comment about me. I purely read for relaxtion and to pass the time at work when it's slack:) . Things I look for in a book are a fast pace and believable characters within the context of the novel. I mainly read scifi, fantasy and thrillers...
