Conn Iggulden: Wolf of the Plains

The first of the Conqueror series chronicling the rise to power of Genghis Khan. This is a must-read book that lives up to its hype. The quote 'It seemed like a blockbuster movie was unfolding before me' is appropriate as stated in the book cover. The action is frenetic and the pace of the...

J.R.R. Tolkien: The Lord Of The Rings

What's your favorite chapter in Two Towers? Mine is where Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas meet the 'old man' at night and think it's Saruman, and their first encounter with Gandalf The White. Do you think he is indeed Saruman?

    Golden Goblet

The Goblet of Fire was quite entertaining. Although I couldnt stand the fact that they cancelled Quidditch :( The first chapter was excellent, and set the tone for a darker series. My least favorites of the series are Order of the Pheonix and Half Blood Prince.

    Looking for book suggestions

I would suggest The Woman Of Substance by Barbara Taylor Bradford. It's about Emma Harte who rises from nowhere to become a very rich businesswoman. The sequels Hold The Dream, To Be The Best, Emma's Secret are all worthy reads as to how Emma's children and grandchildren continue her legacy.

Does inaccurate historical facts affect your enjoyment of historical fiction?

Accurate facts are fine, as long as the book is enjoyable, that's what matters for me. Unless of course an author claims a book is representative of true history and then turns out it isnt.
