I could only stomach the first three. By the third book, it had begun to get REALLY repetitive and a bit dull. I loved the first book, but the rest seem mediocre.
In all honesty, if there's no censorship or moderation in a
forum, what's to stop anyone from posting whatever they want? I mean really. Personally, I believe that putting up a disclaimer saying "read at your own risk," just gives people a license to post whatever they want. I'm all open for...
Completely understandable. You have an undisputable right to stretch your legs onto my armrest. But then I claim the right to jab your foot with sharp objects....those plastic forks are quite effective. ;)
I'm hungry and dining hall food sux. I'm hungry and I only have stale chips to eat. I'm hungry and too lazy to find food...love the college life. Someone feed me.
What plot line are you most interested in following in the upcoming book?
I'm really interested to see where Bran will end up, though Sansa is in an interesting situation right now.
I love the episode where Stewie has been taken into a foster home with all these kids from around the world. It's classic Stewie when he destroys their little "rainbow" of harmony. :p
I love Agatha Christie too, but sometimes the solutions to her mysteries are a bit convoluted. There's usually a really long explanation for how the murder was committed, and sometimes the reasoning seems a bit unbelievable. Maybe it's just me.
I think that's the wonderful part about this series. All too often in books there are characters whom you love uabashedly and those whom you detest greatly. Martin's characters are not infallible, they grow and change like any other human. With the exception of Joffery, (I think we can all agree...
I agree, Sansa is really annoying. Yet I still feel that her role in the series will take a turn for the better. While she's no Arya, I think Martin is toughening her up slowly. Her character is not quite as wimpy in A Storm of Swords.
I said that I hoped to have the book done by the end of the year. Famous last words. No, it's not done, though I am getting closer. I have more than thirteen hundred pages in final draft form and another hundred or so in roughs or fragments, but there are still some chapters yet to write. I'm...
A couple of commas would definitely help clarify the meaning of the sentence, but in general the sentence is a bit cumbersome. I would take out the "who govern destiny" part and some how incorporate it into the sentence prior to this one.
"What would happen if the Norns decided to take a...
Fingersmith by Sarah Waters. An engrossing read, but completely plot driven. Her language wasn't great, her characters weren't fully developed, and the plot twists (which were good but not FABULOUS) were the only thing that held the book up....great fun to read but lacked sustenance.
