the book is definetly not for children. I read it last summer, and I liked it, and then my mum had to tell me that the principal character was ill, or I-don't-know-what-to-call-it. So I think I must read some books again when I'm older or I won't catch the full meaning of the stories.
i've just finished Angels and Demons and I didn't think it that bad. I thought it was really thrilling, and coudn't keep my eyes off it. But the end was a bit... dunno. Made me think a lot. But it's true that I haven't read The Da Vince Code so I can't really say if it repeats the argument or not.
How do you like Lewis?
I personally think that he shows too much in his Narnia books about how he thinks... I mean all that about arab people being worse than the white, that they are the bad and the white the pure, the free, the good.
I mean, it's stupid.
But I must say he has a wonderful...
You can hate some writers (for example Bernardo Altxaga. Please, if you read his books, don't die of boredom) but not Tolkien. Maybe you don't like his stile, or whatever, but I think he is one of the best writers that I know. Well, for me.
science fiction and fantasy.
Isaac Asimov-I, Robot-9
Isaac Asimov- The Rest of the Robots- 8
Phillip Pullman- The Subtle Knife-9
Phillip Pullman- The Amber Spyglass-10
Brian Jacques- The Outcast of Redwall-9
um... I was thinking about the books in this days. They all try to imitate HarryPotter, phillip pullman and stuff. That's why I liked Redwall at first... a completly new story. Quite different from all the othrs.
His Dark Materials - Philip Pullman
Anyone read my favorite book? he,he. I have read the triology at least six times.
Of course, Phillip Pullman always kills most of his characters, but it is a good story. Mostly (in my opinion) because it criticises the way we exagerate what at the begging...
