I have one song 4 you :whistling: I am sure, you know Susumu Yokota . But do you know Mono ??
Their songs helps me to travel toward Yama no Oto and sometimes also, toward Yama no Jinsei ( Yasunari Kawabata & Kunio Yanagita )

I am not familiar with Susumu Yokata, however I shall make myself so. The only Japanese artist of that vein I'm really familiar with is Satoshi Tomiie, from his FSOL collaborations, in particular his very strong 'Main Path' Papua New Guinea mix (granted, which is more ambient house than ambient.
