Trying to read a Dalziel and Pascoe thriller but going to sleep and I am not 200 pages into it. I usually love these books, but this one is just boring. Readers Digest would have condensed it to 200 pages and made it interesting. But as it is,it just sends you to sleep.
It is On Beulah Hights.

Wow! You did great with $6.75. Maybe you should do my shopping for me! :D

Btw, loved Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil. So much better than the movie and lots funnier!

The Lions Yard Sale is a great place to find books, but it upsets me that everything they don't sell goes in the dumpster. There were a lot more good books I could have purchased if I didn't already have copies.

I am really surprised at that. I live in a very small town, but we have The Jack Gean Shelter for Men, The Jack Gean Shelter for Women, The Rhema Shelter, and the Rising Sun which will take your cast-offs. The Jack Gean shelters will take anything you pull up in your truck and unload (they even help you unload) and are so glad to get it. The Rhema Shelter will come to your house and pick up any yardsale left overs you have. In our society I don't see why anything still useful would need to be thrown away. Maybe you could volunteer to take over that part of the Lions Yard Sale! Do you need something else to do? :D

I have plenty to do, thanks. I don't like it either but there is little I can do without coming up with a lot of money to buy all the books every year or go dumpster diving in an attempt to recover the books.
