Random happenings/thoughts

Different is good, ABC. I wouldn't mind seeing the General Sherman when I visit California, again.

Here I sit with a head full of pollen; unable to breath. Note to self: Spring is probably not the best time to cut back the azaleas.

Ta-Dah! Beckaroo graduated yesterday:

Random happening.

Dog is probably sensitive/allergic to too much marrow from bones, so we don't give him bones anymore. About an hour ago, I went outside to have my coffee and read on the deck and found him out there with a bone! Little bugger probably buried it last summer before we knew about his sensitivity. He looked so pleased with himself, giving me that big sloppy, doggy grin that I couldn't bear to take away his toy. I zipped into the house to get my phone to text DH about our goofball of a dog and when I returned, the bone was GONE. How the hell did he hide it so fast with no visible evidence? The only evidence is that his little nose is scratched up beyond belief and is bleeding all over the place. Sigh. Dogs. Weirdo.

Gearing up for Becca's graduation party this evening...it would be nice if I had a clue how many guests to expect. It will be fun, but now would be a great time for my stunt double to return from her extended vacation. Really.

Eurovision semifinals. Weeeeeee!

Also, for the first time in nearly a year I don't have to think about going to bed soon at this time (almost 9 PM) as I get to "sleep in" until 6 tomorrow morning. :D

The cicadas are finally out in force in Virginia. The sound they make reminds me of the sound heard in the original star trek series episode Who Mourns for Adonais? when the Enterprise phasers fire on the temple of Apollo.
