BUT it is written in reverse chronology so the story unfolds and we lear more about stuart as we travel back thru his life

Wondered if anyone could help
When i was a youngstar I read a fairly disturbing book about these halfing type charcters than lived on the wandle
can anyone shed any light as to what the name of the boook might have been?
my girlf is a witch too ya see:
cackles a lot
parks up her broomstick outside
always being followed by cats and rats
and i thought id get her a SPELL book to complete the picture
does any1 know of any good ones
it must cover tje following:
