If you are to get marooned in an island (which some have electricity to operate you CD player ), which albums would you like to be stuck with ? My list ?

    ok computer - Radiohead
wish you were here - pink floyd
dark side of the moon - pink floyd
automatic for the people - REM
    in rainbows - radiohead
listen without prejudice Vol. 1 - George micheal
a few small repairs - shawn colvin
    achtung baby - u2
    joshua tree - u2
    ten - pearl jam

having the others would really assure me that I don't mind being marooned after all.....

august & everything after - Counting Crowes
nothing safe.. best of - Alice in chains
big whiskey & the groo grux king - dave mattews band
A sides (best of) - sound garden
busted stuff - dave mattews band
    division bell - pink floyd
a tribute to a work in progress (best of)- Black Crowes
    vitalogy - pearl jam
unplugged in new york - nirvana
the piper at the gate of dawn - pink floyd

N.B. There was an error when submitting this post. As a result the first response to this thread by brk_3 too was deleted by mistake. Anyways, brk_3 has asked whether only 10 can be chosen... the respone to that being not necessarily... I wanted to think out as to what ten I would sellect if I had to sellect only ten. Hence the next ten I grudgingly left out from the first ten. There are still more CD's that I do like a lot - Prince's Purple Rain, Tool's Lateralus, Nirvana's nevermind, DMB's before these crowded streets, Pink Floyd's Meddle for instance... but then almost all of us would end up with about 50 CDs wouldn't we ?;)

yea ten would be tough. I have over 500 rock albums on CD in my collection about 100 country albums on CD as well, not to mention the many albums and songs downloaded that reside on there own hard disk

I'll go with the what's listed in one of my albums.

    brk_3's top ten rock albums

I bet there are lots of fish in the lagoon. Maybe I could sneak some Nick Drake and Jeff Buckley along too. ;)

Your use of grammar and the comparative brings out my inner teacher and makes me want to yell at you whilst rapping your knuckles with a rusty ruler.

    Depache mode

noted that Depeche Mode's violater is higly rated by most. Well, I didn't get to hear Depeche Mode till quite late, & the albums that I am familiar with are Exciter, sounds of the universe & the very best of DM. Think I've missed a lot by missing out on Violater ? Is it worth while to find a copy & listen ?
