As little as I care about the whole Cruise/Holmes thing, I can't help but pray earnestly that Ms Holmes will not suffer postpartum depression.

OMG, No shit!

 OMG! Too funny! LOL

Do you wonder what Mr. Cruise's position would be if he had an erectile dysfunction problem. Do you think Cruise would take viagra. :)

Experts considers that erectile dysfunction is caused up to 80% of physical problems and 20% is caused by psychological causes. Reduced blood flow to the penis and nerve damage are the most common physical cause. Prosate cancer and subsequent surgery are frequent causes.

Quick quiz-who was the actress who played the flight instructor to the pilots in Top Gun? :) I thought that Cruise and her were involved at some point.

-As for Goose, I'm still depressed about that.:(

Travolta and Preston Suggest a "Silent Birth" to Katie

Scientology couple John Travolta and Kelly Preston are urging Katie Holmes to have a 'silent birth' when she delivers fiance Tom Cruise's baby next year and follow the church's strict doctrines. Scientologists believe children should be brought into the world without any fuss and be allowed to quietly get used to their surroundings. That means no music, no chatting and no expressions of pain from the mother. Preston explains, "It's just because everything in moments of pain is really recorded and you want to have that (the birth) peaceful and clear of sort of suggestions or different words that can then affect them (babies) in their future."

 o..k.. "silent birth" yeah...
So... I was also wondering about Tom... I thought he couldn't get anyone pregnant...

Holmes Dumps Publicist for Cruise's Sister

Pregnant actress Katie Holmes has fired her publicist Leslie Sloane-Zelnick after nine years together, and has hired her fiance Tom Cruise's sister as her new spokesperson. The Batman Begins star and Cruise announced her pregnancy last week, which comes only six months after the couple began dating. Since Holmes began her controversial relationship with Cruise, she has parted ways with her management company, agents and now Sloane-Zelnick. Holmes will now be represented by Cruise's sister and fellow Scientologist Lee Anne DeVette, who became the actor's spokesperson last year after he left his longtime publicist Pat Kingsley. Sloane-Zelnick tells the New York Daily News, "We were with her for nine years. We wish her the best. She has chosen to work with her future sister-in-law. We wish her well, and congratulate her on her happy news."

No IVF Treatment for Holmes, Says Aunt

Katie Holmes conceived her baby with fiance Tom Cruise without the aid of in-vitro fertilization (IVF) treatment, according to the Hollywood beauty's aunt. Carol Zydorczyk has spoken out to deny reports pregnant Holmes received Ivf treatment. She says, "I can assure you they did it the old fashioned way." Batman Begins star Holmes and Cruise announced her pregnancy last week, just six months after the couple began dating.

I just have one question. Does the baby have to be silent at birth, too? Those little buggers have their own ideas about stuff like that, I had one start screaming the second his head popped out.

If any man ever shushed me during childbirth, I would have probably ripped his head off.

If you have to be silent during childbirth, won't you burst a blood vessel or vein holding in your screams?

This idea is sickening, if men could give birth, you bet they wouldn't have that "rule" and they'd be handing out painkillers like Pez.

That's what makes Tom (and IMO, scientology) sound so ridiculous. He's never been seriously depressed, and never given childbirth, yet here he has all these "words of wisdom" about them.

The Silent Birth stuff is a crock. Having had a few babies myself, I can assure them that a little noise at birth wil NOT scar the urchin for life, or even for the moment of birth. In fact, holding one's breath, to keep from hollering or whatever, is actually proven to be most dangerous to both mom and baby. It increases the chance of a stroke..Tom should talk to Ted Danson about that, since his first wife suffered a stroke on the delivery table. And really, are they planning to micro-manage their home and the baby's environment to keep the child from EVER hearing a human voice raised in pain or from exhertion? Pu-Leeze.. how silly!

I have a few more questions. What if during labor, she wants ice chips, or the doctor needs to tell her to push or not to push? Is she just S.O.L.? Or are they going to come up with hand signals before the whole thing happens?

Forget Ice chips, I had my last three at home with a midwife and got to drink tea whenever I wanted. The reason they won't allow food or drink during labor in hospitals is because they're afraid mom will throw up and accidently inhale some of the contents...but the contents of an empty stomach are much more highly acidic than one with food, and more likely to cause trouble in such a case. In a calmer, more relaxed atmosphere, mom is less likely to throw up anyway. I never wanted much to eat, but real liquid was wonderful. And of course, I was encouraged to speak for myself as to when I need anything. This silence bit it really stupid, and is more like you'd expect from a male-dominance point of view than anything.

How long has Katie Holmes been pregnant? I just saw pictures of her and it looks like she is 5 months pregnant. How does this news just come out?

"Silent birth. . ."

Hahaha ha!!

ell, rolling on the floor, 'mid screams of hysterical laughter

The only silent birth is if mom is under general anaesthesia and you can get those darn doctors, nurses and midwives to shut up.

She was out of the public eye this spring (April I think) and the tabloid theory is she was in the Scientology Center getting impregnated.
