I'm in a small Mesoamerican country, reading a huge list of atrocities committed against the natives by the army. And not even getting paid for it, which is very annoying.

I'm flitting between the present day and the WW1 trenches. Present day I'm a detective monk who's investigating his former beloved prior(now deceased)
who was a British army captain was assigned to a court martial committee and apparently sentenced a young Irish soldier to death. In WW1 I am the captain who later becomes prior to a monastary.
 
In New York,a guy dressed as an angel,with wings and all just rung at my door looking for his cat.
