Books I own but haven't read yet

Ions, The Master and Margarita is one of the best, and most bizarre, books I've ever read.

    Your favorite blogs

True Porn Clerk Stories - that was a favourite of mine, too, WoodenCoyote. :D

Books I own but haven't read yet

I've got Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell now too, but haven't even considered tackling it yet. I read Huck Finn for school and hated it, but I suspect if I read it again now, without the mandatory aspect, I'd probably enjoy it more. If you read any of those soon, please come back and report...

Books I own but haven't read yet

There was a time when I would have considered Bukowski God, too, but not these days. There will always be a special place in my poetry-loving heart for the man, though. :) I do prefer his poetry.

    Recommend a very good (semi-)obscure fantasy/sf book

Lavondyss by Robert Holdstock. You mentioned in another thread that you had read Mythago Wood but it didn't seem like you had read the sequel. I prefer Lavondyss because he takes the idea he presented in Mythago Wood and runs away with it, producing some of the most beautiful prose I have ever...

Books I own but haven't read yet

Stewart, I think I am going to forget about Tolkien. To be honest I've never been remotely interested in reading him at all, but I do own his books (thanks to my husband, the LoTR freak) and they will probably forever remain in the Unread Pile. Isabell, I thank you for supporting my habits...

J.D. Salinger: The Catcher In The Rye

Yup. Sorry it took me over a year to get back to you on that, though. :o

Books I own but haven't read yet

After a year and a half, I return to this thread only to discover that I have only read ten of these books in that time! Not that I've only read ten books in a year and a half, mind you, but I keep buying new ones that prevent me from reading the old ones. Alas, it is my destiny to drown in a...

How much books do you read per year?

I am currently in one of those slumps too, but I'm moving to Dublin by van and ferry on Saturday so maybe I'll get some reading done, although in recent years I haven't enjoyed reading while travelling at all. I drive my husband crazy wanting to talk the whole time.

    Favorite book

    Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami.

How much books do you read per year?

I probably read about twenty books a year, not counting all the individual poems and short stories I also read due to my addiction to web magazines. I still have about 90 books I haven't read yet and another 290+ on my Amazon wishlist.

    Mythago Wood

Mythago Wood and Lavondyss are two of my favorite books ever, especially Lavondyss. I still haven't read the following books in the series but I am planning on it. The amount of description and imagination that went into the story is simply breathtaking, and I don't think it's going too far to...

    What's your Pirate name?

Iron Jenny Rackham A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you are that person. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!

    How Many Have You Read?

I found it rather dry, but I also had an uninspiring tutor.
