Yep, Wabbit is right. I was in love with a guy from England for 3 years, and I live in the States. He flew over to see me twice. It didn't last, but that's probably only because neither one of us wanted to leave our home. It worked out for the best, though, because then I met my sweet hubby...
No, not Michael Bubble. (It's pronounced Boo-Blay.)
I may be like the last person on earth to hear of this guy, but I must say I am impressed. When I first saw his commercial on TV, I thought he was just some punk trying to be Harry Connick, Jr. Boy was I wrong! He is simply awesome...
Funny you should ask! This is something I actually struggle with. I love the Internet and I use it for fun and educational purposes, but I admit I use it way too much! I try to make myself put away my laptop and get out a book, but sometimes I just opt for the Internet because it's easier...
:) Me too! My hubby tells me that I get this "drunk" look on my face when I'm in bookstores and libraries.
I counted my unread books last weekend, and I have just short of 150. I thought that was bad until I read some of the other posts on this thread. :D I'm so glad I'm not alone in this...
Gosh, for some reason this seems like such a long time ago!
Loved:
The Count of Monte Cristo (Dumas)
Romeo & Juliet (Shakespeare)
Beowulf (unknown)
Animal Farm (Orwell)
Brave New World (Huxley)
The Turn of the Screw (James)
The Catcher in the Rye (Salinger)
The Masque of the Red Death...
Martin - I think what we were getting at is more of a continuation, not a copy, of a long thread. Like Thread Name (500 posts) and Thread Name Part II (next 500 posts). Or something like that. Just so we wouldn't have to go clicking through 50+ pages when we've already read the first 25 pages...
cabrasopa - Thanks for that link! I want to check that book out soon if I can find it. Your suggestion reminded me of yet another book I want to get my hands on with regards to the subject of Noah's Ark: The Preservationist looks like a great novel.
Here are a few sites that I enjoy:
Graphic Maps Geography Quiz - if you can correctly guess the place (usually on earth), you win $100! The answers are almost always difficult to figure out, but it's fun to try if you like geography.
Songs from Commercials - ever wonder what that song is...
