I've been hearing a lot of good things about Wolf and would like to try him out, but his list of works is rather daunting! Any Wolf fans out there? Can anyone recommend a few of his books as starters?
I just found out about a site similar to Amazon that some of you may be interested in - they offer free international shipping on everything, with no minimum order required. I believe that their product pricings are similar to that of Amazon.
The Book Depository.
Happy Buying :D
A Breath of Snow and Ashes by Diana Gabladon (2005)
Beginning where The Fiery Cross left off, the latest installment of the Outlander series follows Jamie and Claire as they tackle potentially their biggest threat yet - the American Revolution. A Breath of Snow and Ashes takes place during the...

My sister told me about this game and I thought it might be fun. All you have to do is post a reply containing whatever comes up when you hit "Ctrl+P" (obviously the last thing you copied and pasted).

I was wondering if anyone knew of any books that are similar to Catch-22, or books by Jonathan Safran Foer.
I'm trying to think of a book to get my brother for Christmas.
Many thanks in advance :D
I was just wondering if anyone knew of any fantasy/adventure-type books with females as lead characters. Things like Children of the Dust, The Winter of Fire by Sheryl Jordan, the Tomorrow, When the War Began series by John Marsden and Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman.
I'm trying to...
I just finished reading Wild Swans by Jung Chang and I absolutely loved it. It was not until I read this book that I realised how little I know about China and its history, and how much I would like to know more. I usually find historical fiction to be more interesting than non-fiction, so does...
Has anyone else had the chance to read this yet?
Publisher Comments:
I finished reading this book a few days ago, and is becoming the normal with Atwood, I absolutely loved it. The fresh twist on the famous story of Odysseus is absolutely brilliant, and Atwood's fabulous writing only...
Well so far Miss Gabaldon can do no wrong in my eyes. Another great installment in the love story of Claire and Jamie. I found Voyager to be as entirely captivating as Dragonfly in Amber, possibly even more so. I was swept away by this novel - the change of location and pace of this book really...
Anyone else read this book? I have just finished it, and am obssessed with the Diana Gabaldon once again. I posted my thoughts about it on the "Just Finished" thread, so I'll post them here as well:
Loved, loved, loved it! I thought it to be an entirely appropriate follow-up to the fabulous...
I've just finished Dragonfly in Amber By Diana Gabaldon (Book 2 of the Outlander series).
Loved, loved, loved it! I thought it to be an entirely appropriate follow-up to the fabulous Cross Stitch (Outlander). With other sequels, you sometimes get the feeling that the book was written a bit...
Anyone else a fan of her works? I have read The Other Boleyn Girl and I have The Queen's Fool and The Virgin's Lover sitting on my shelf waiting to be read. I also notice that The Constant Princess, a novel about Katherine of Aragon, is being released this November.
Anybody wishing to discuss...
Some of the books that I enjoyed immensely this year (I'm bound to miss a few):
The Day of the Triffids by John Wyndham
Cross Stitch (aka Outlander) by Diana Gabaldon
Darkfall and Darksong by Isobelle Carmody
Trickster's Choice and Trickster's Queen by Tamora Pierce
Harry Potter and the...
Anyone out there interested in Sexton Blake?
He appeared between 1893 and 1963, originally in a magazine called The Union Jack. Sadly, this magazine ceased publication in 1933, when it became The Detective Weekly. This discontinued in 1941, but Blake kept on appearing in The Sexton Blake...
For my English class I have to write either a prequel or a sequel to a text that we have studied so far this year. I decided to do a prequel to The Shawshank Redemption, and I would really like some pointers on how to improve my story. The assignment is to try and catch the behaviour etc of the...
Does anyone wish to disclose the ideas they had in their minds when they were children about certain things, which they found out later to be extremely, horribly wrong?
I suppose I had better start off so you know what I'm babbling on about..
When I was younger, I always thought that High...
