September
One Blood: The Biblical answers to racism Ken Ham, et al:star1:
Divine Justice; David Baldacci:star3:
No Safe Place Richard North Patterson:star3:

The Ham book was a good theological read if you want to know some of the apologetics related to "who was Cain's wife?" kind of questions. Other than that, it is a claptrap half-hearted swipe at evolution. The Baldacci book was good, but No Safe Place was definitely a good page turner. I really liked how it was written and how he went back and forth in time in the story.

In September I only read
Like Water for Chocolate, by Laura Esquivel. :star5:

Honestly! I liked the story of Christopher Columbus' mysterious background, but the rest of the book was just terrible. Usually in a series, the MC is at least smart, even if he or she is not best friend material..In this case, he was a blathering idiot who deserved to be set up. The way Dos Santos tied up loose ends was just too weird too; I wondered if he'd been watching Dallas re-runs. I was very disappointed. Considering Dos Santos' background as a historian and journalist, he would have served Columbus's story better if he'd written a non fiction book.

You didn't have to read anything beyond that one for the month. I perosnally can't wait for the movie.

Yea the trailer looks pretty cool, i hope the movie has the scene where the dad is telling the kid how to put the gun in his mouth and point it up. So he cant be caught alive. Cause that's just a crazy part.

Tricks of the mind by Derren Brown - superb.
Thoughts, Life of a Suicide by Dillan Kane - terrible
The Guv'nor by Lenny McLean - Interesting
