Even as Starbucks stock drops people are still cramming into the places to get their fix. McDonald's, Panera, and of course Dunkin Donuts have increased their participation in the market. So I figure I can't be the only junky on here. How do you like yours?

Hot with some cream. I prefer darker roasts.

I'm not a fan of Starbucks - their beans taste burnt to me. The places here in town I like to get coffee use local roasters.

Black, hot, strong, and filter-brewed. Anything else is brown water.

I rarely stop in places like Starbucks but at home I enjoy having my coffee or tea with milk, very rarely cream.

I've really tried liking coffee, but I just can't do it. How can something that smells so wonderful taste so bad??

Mmm coffee, if I'm drinking at home I keep it simple, strong, black and sugary. If I'm venturing out I like to try and shake things up and try something new, but I guess I'll often go for a Mocha, which I get mocked for mercilessly by my boyfriend: "What? That's not coffee, it's hot chocolate!"

Black, bitter with sugar, and a fag.
I like how they serve it in small glasses over here.
Nespresso is a killer but a richman drink.

    Sugar, flavored creamers, and milk.

I used to hate coffee too. It smelled great but the taste was too strong for me. Then I started working in a place that sells coffee and now I'm not as . . . "anti-coffee". I'm not an addict but when I need to stay up late I know what I'll be buying.

On a related note, where's your favorite place to buy coffee? For me, it's Dunkin Donuts.

Mr. Abc and I are in agreement with Sparky about Starbucks. Too often their coffee tastes burnt. I usually buy French Roast and we like Hazelnut creamer. I take two spoonfuls of sugar and the Mister prefers one. If we're out and about and crave a cappuchino, we usually head for Quick Trip.

Most people I've come across who claim to hate coffee do so after trying to make a bad cup of coffee (which is what you get 9 times out of 10 if you get it at an office, a cheap café or from someone who hasn't bought a new coffee maker in 20 years and gotten used to it) taste good by adding tons of milk and sugar - ending up with a sickly sweet and creamy bad cup of coffee.

Get yerself a well-brewed cup of coffee, strong and hot, from newly ground beans, made of fresh cold water in a clean machine, and try it without any pointless additives. (Sugar is of the Devil.) If you still don't like it, fine, it's not for everyone, but... at least you'll have tried the real thing.

I love Caribou coffee over Starbucks
My favorite there is the El Salvadorian brew.--At home I just drink regular store bought grinds. Little cream, little sugar

I have a Nespresso. I've never drank so much coffee in my life, I just love it, specially the stronger ones.

I don't know how it is over there, but here it's cheaper then drinking coffee on cafes.

The only thing I have to add to good beer's advice is that if you go into a coffee shop, the best way to judge their coffee is to order an Americano. The beans will be ground to order and the coffee made to order and what you get is basically one of the freshest and most unadulterated ways to enjoy a cup of coffee on the cheap.
