What are you listening to Right now?

Radiohead videos on YouTube. I like to add a few to my quicklist and then let them all play in the background while I'm surfing. Idioteque

What do you pay for gas?

Think I paid $3.79 yesterday. I use the gas station's credit card and get a 5% discount, taking it down to around $3.60. Nice, as long as the balance gets paid off every month. I wish I could ride a bicycle to work. The terrain isn't too horrible, though there are some fairly long hills...

    your favorite booze?

I really like New Belgium's "1554". I've been sampling some Imperial Stouts lately but am getting a little burned out on them. I also like Duvel, Orval, Corsendonk, and Chimay. Can't remember other Belgian trappist ales that I've tried. But for something that I can just grab out of the...

    In praise of false teeth.

Every few days? Don't they get all fuzzy with plaque in between brushings? I've almost always had really good dentists and have never dreaded going. Even having my wisdom teeth out recently wasn't much of an ordeal. I don't think I would like dentures since I couldn't stand the feeling of...

    Library speed dating

Regarding the Hemingway scenario... My wife and I get along incredibly well, but we really don't share a similar interest in books. She prefers historical fiction such as the Outlander stuff, Margaret George, Clan of the Cave Bear, etc. And I tend to go for non-fiction. Just an observation...

    Morcheeba

I would also recommend Big Calm. I haven't listened to Morcheeba in a while, but was really into them during my Portishead, Massive Attack, Sneaker Pimps, Mono, Tricky, Lamb, Stereolab, etc. phase. I thought they were considered trip-hop, good music to chill to. Haven't heard any of their...

    George Hayduke

I read some of his books as a teenager and had a good laugh. Now I wouldn't care to read them because I can remember a lot of the pranks in his books were pretty bad and many could lead to someone being injured/killed and there was some animal cruelty in there too. I hate to think of someone...

    James Patterson.

I read The Lake House, which was an easy, light read. It was an interesting story, but I remember being disappointed in some of the twists and turns that the plot took. It sure didn't make me want to read any more Patterson books.

What do you pay for gas?

This morning, I think the price was up to $1.77 at a gas station where I can usually find gas pretty cheap. It was $1.65 the last time I filled up, I believe.

    Super Bowl

Shoot, I nearly forgot that today was Super Bowl Sunday. Not that I wanted to watch it or anything. :)

    What book are you?

I'm Prufrock and Other Observations! by T.S. Eliot Though you are very short and often overshadowed, your voice is poetic and lyrical. Dark and brooding, you see the world as a hopeless effort of people trying to impress other people. Though you make reference to almost everything, you've...
